
Student Leadership
IMA President
Ryan Ho
The Band President’s primary function is to provide student leadership and direction to all of the IMA ensembles. The Band President will be responsible for organizing, communicating, and leading activities, as well as leading weekly Band Council meetings. The President is a position of service as well as leadership. The President’s responsibility is to do whatever needs to be done for the students of the music program to have a successful experience. If interested in running, the President must have a Vice President running mate.

Head Drum Major, Social media coordinator
Ash Villavicencio
The primary function of the Vice President is to assist the Band President in providing student leadership and direction to the IMA ensembles. Added responsibilities include going to the Band Booster meeting on a monthly basis and reporting back to band council about what the band boosters have been working towards.


Asst. Drum Major, Production Manager
Harrison Gourian
​Assistant Drum Major(s) are the candidates with the next highest scores from Drum Major auditions. Responsibilities include assisting the Head Drum Major with any responsibilities needed


The production manager's responsibility is to work alongside the director and tech crew in the production of IMA Concerts. The production manager is also responsible for ensuring seating charts are sent to ensemble representatives. They will coordinate along with the President to maintain a the working flow of the concerts and rehearsals before.







Secretary, Asst. Librarian
Chloe Wingfield
The Secretary’s job is to work with the President and Vice President and create the agenda for the weekly band council meetings. The Secretary is also responsible for keeping meetings on task, recording minutes of the weekly meetings, and keeping meeting attendance. Secretary should be prepared to distribute and make copies of minutes when a copy is requested and to report back to the Director about the meetings.


The Assistant Librarian will help the Head Librarian fulfill their roles they took on such as organizing the library, handing out and printing copies, helping create inventory, and such.
They will also be carrying out tasks the Head Librarian asks or cannot complete at a certain time.

Drum Captain, Equipment Manager

Abby Baum

Head Drum Major is the candidate with the highest score from Drum Major auditions. Responsibilities include rehearsing the group and maintaining an effective rehearsal atmosphere. On the field, the Head Drum Major is the highest position of student leader.

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for working with the secretary and Director in posting on the JBHSIMA social media. They are also responsible with updating information on the JBHSIMA website and coordinating with the Secretary, Director and Booster Parents for posters, flyers, and other information is both handed out to IMA members and posted on our socials.


Ciel Lys De la Cruz
The Guard Captain is in charge of keeping Color Guard room organized. The Color Guard Captain will also act as a liaison between parents and color guard. Responsibilities also include running sectionals. Responsibilities also include running sectionals, maintaining equipment, and checking in with the Director about issues that may arise.


Assistant Social Media Coordinator is responsible for working with Head Social Media Coordinator, Secretary, and the Director in posting on the JBHSIMA social media. They are also responsible with helping head soc. coordinator update information on the JBHSIMA website and other information both handed out to IMA members and posted on our socials.

The Assistant production manager's responsibility is to work alongside the Head PM, director and tech crew in the production of IMA Concerts. The Asst. production manager is also responsible for ensuring seating charts are sent to ensemble representatives by PM. They will coordinate along with the Head PM and President to maintain a the working flow of the concerts and rehearsals before.




Spirit
Masaya Caudle-Saito
Spirit is responsible for fostering enthusiasm, school spirit, and the camaraderie within the band. This role involves organizing spirit activities, supporting band morale, and coordinating with other student leadership.



Inventory

Evan Torres


Drum Captain is responsible for leading the drumline within the band. This involves leading rehearsals, coordinating with other sections, ensuring the drumline's performance quality, and fostering a positive and productive environment for all drumline members.


The responsibilities of the Equipment Manager include instrument inventory, transporting and maintaining equipment/lockers, leading equipment team, and working alongside parent volunteers. They will be working alongside inventory manager to help inventory stay up to date.
Pit Captain, Head Librarian
Emma Ryan

Pit Captain is responsible overseeing the front ensemble. This includes managing equipment setup and transportation. Pit Captain leads to ensure musical and technical preparation.
The Head Librarian will utilize Ensemble Representatives and Jazz Band Student Director to take responsibility for the library including (but not limited to) organization of the library, creating inventory, handing out copies, and any other duties needed.

Historian


Evangeline Eick
The Historian will preserve the memory of the band by taking pictures and video of important band events. The Historian is also responsible for making slideshow videos and collages for all band recruiting events, community events, concerts, and our yearly band banquet. The Historian is also responsible for creating a scrapbook for the year.



Jazz Band Director Asst.
Cole Woodard
Inventory Coordinator will help assist inputting and maintaining the program’s vast inventory (instruments, lockers, uniforms, etc). They will work alongside equipment manager and the board to make sure everything is in the right place, and that the IMA remains an organized place.

Wind Ensemble Director Asst, Fundraising Coordinator

Wind Ensemble Director Assistant supports the Band Director in operation of class represented. This role involves assisting with rehearsals, printing and copying music when librarian isn't available, running class when director is unavailable, and fostering a positive and productive environment for student musicians.

The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for working with the President and Parent Boosters to ensure that all IMA fundraisers are communicated to IMA students and more. They are also responsible with updating information on the JBHSIMA website and coordinating with the Secretary, Director and Booster Parents for posters, flyers, and other information is both handed out to IMA members. They will also coordinate with the IMA council to encourage new fundraising opportunities.
