Get ready to Lindy Hop, Jitterbug and Boogie Woogie to live music performed by our very own JBHS Jazz Ensemble. This year's event will take place on February 2nd at 6:00pm in the Brian Hurst Gym (near the tennis courts) We have a lot of fun things planned - delicious food and snacks, great raffle opportunities, a photo booth, and a swing costume contest to name a few! Lets salsa, rumba and cumbia to Latin Jazz music performed by our own IMA Jazz Ensemble. This year's event will take place on March 30th in the JBHS Brian Hurst Gym. We have a lot of fun things planned - Tapas from Portos Bakery , desserts and great raffle opportunities. Don't know how to dance salsa? Music Is Instrumental Benefit Concert
Reach for the Stars
Be transported to a galaxy far, far away for the second annual Music Is Instrumental benefit concert “Reach For The Stars,” featuring works by John Williams, including his iconic scores to Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and E.T. the Extra Terrestrial.
The Burbank Unified School District Symphonic Orchestra and Choir will also perform music from Michael Giacchino’s electrifying scores to Star Trek: Into Darkness and Star Trek: Beyond.
Special guests include Hollywood studio percussionist and timpanist Don Williams, the Musicians at Play Foundation mentors and maestro Anthony Parnther.
